It does not simply retains particles smaller than 1 µm (pollen, bacteria), but also stops gas molecules entering the passenger compartment from outside and contributes to overall passengers comfort.

So, the “Combi” cabin filter (with active carbon layer) stops unpleasant smells that may be encountered during road driving.

The active-carbon filters (which combine the filtration of particles + gases) reduce the concentration of gases and stop ozone.
